• CrossFit

The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We scale load and intensity; we do not change programs. You won’t have to lift weights beyond your level or perform movements beyond your skill set. We pride ourselves on working with people of all ability levels and making them better. Furthermore, our target population is not specific to age or gender, instead we are welcoming anyone who is willing to work hard and keep an open mind to CrossFit principles.
  • CrossFit Foundations

Our Foundations class is a free class that is specifically designed to give you a basic understanding of what CrossFit Weddington is like. You will learn a few basic skills, and do a short High Intensity Workout.  Plan to arrive a little early to a sign the waiver. If you’re under 18 years of age, we need your parent / guardian to sign the waiver.
  • Olympic Lifting

The Olympic Lifting class focuses on the Snatch, Clean & Jerk and their related lifts. Learn these complex lifts from Coach Becca Gerdon from Team MDUSA. The lifts require a unique combination of strength, flexibility, power, and coordination not found elsewhere in sport. Get fit and strong while you learn these highly technical lifts under the watchful eye of one of our expert coaches.
  • Rowing

The Rowing Class focuses on instruction of proper technique, strategies for implementing rowing in workouts, and a heavy element of training how to succeed on the erg. We also incorporate weight training and bodyweight strength work to maximize the training effect during the class.
  • Endurance

CrossFit Endurance is an endurance sports training program geared towards improving performance, fitness, and endurance sports potential. It differs from traditional long, slow distance training by eliminating unnecessary volume and instead focusing on proper technique followed by increased intensity. This reversed hierarchy reduces your risk of injury while making you a faster, more efficient runner. The program is running specific, but tightly integrated with CrossFit principles including: Olympic lifts, powerlifting, gymnastic movements, explosive activity, and mobility-based support. This foundation of strength and conditioning helps increase power and speed while also decreasing recovery time, reducing injury, promoting preservation of lean tissue and creating a more sustainable performance curve—all critical elements to a successful endurance training regime.
  • Pilates / Yoga

The Pilates program aims to teach our athletes the importance of body awareness and midline stability. Agility, flexibility and stability are all very important in the Crossfit workouts and Pilates will enhance and strengthen these skills. This Pilates class will move quickly, constantly challenging the body through stretching, and strengthening with a strong emphasis on safely learning to use your core.  The Yoga program aim to improve your flexibility, balance and muscle endurance. Whether you’re an experienced yogi or new to the yoga scene, our yoga classes will make you a better athlete by improving your overall strength and mobility. CrossFit Weddington Yoga and Pilates classes are open to members and non-members. Next Yoga Class Sunday, 1/17 at 9am. Cost is $5
